I need a good avi to ipod converter?

I have an avi file that I need to convert to ipod to put onto my ipod. I tried using that 3GP crap, and it looks like its working but it doesnt. can someone link me to a free, working, reliable one? idc how long it takes for it to convert, i just want one that WORKS
